Drob (shepherd’s pie)

 

Bread dough homemade or commercial.

Place one sheet in an oiled baking pan.

Add a mixture of ground lamb, green onion, sliced mushrooms, fresh dill,

black pepper, nutmeg and salt, all fried in olive oil for 15 minutes.

 

 

Cover the pie with another sheet of dough. Oil the

Bread sheet with olive oil. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes.

 

 

Let cool in pan.

 

 

Then cut squares or diamonds and serve.

 

 

 

This pie is an Easter tradition with the Romanians.

It is usually done with lamb liver and other finely chopped organs.
