USS Pampanito Video Tour

The USS Pampanito (SS-383) was built in 1943 at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in New Hampshire. She measures 311’ 8” long and 27’ 3” across the beam, displaces 1,525 tons when on the surface, and carried a crew of 70 men and 10 officers. The Pampanito made six World War II patrols during which she sank six Japanese ships and damaged four others. (click on picture to enlarge).
